Baseball Game Preview: Georgetown Bulldogs vs. Loris Lions

The Georgetown Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Loris Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games Georgetown has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Georgetown didn't have quite enough to beat Aynor and fell 3-2.

Georgetown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mike Johnson, III, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Loris came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs as they made off with a 14-3 win. Considering the Lions have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Aiden Suggs was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Gavin Gore was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

Georgetown now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Loris, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.
