Basketball Recap: Duluth Wildcats vs. Milton Eagles

Duluth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Milton Eagles 63-25. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 90-33 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

Despite the loss, Duluth saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nilah Jones posted ten points in addition to seven rebounds and two steals. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for Jones.

Duluth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Duluth has the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Lanier at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Milton, they will take on Colonial at 2:15 p.m. on Monday. Milton is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
