Volleyball Recap: Blanchester Comes Up Short

Blanchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Wilmington Hurricane. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Anna Niemesh was a one-woman wrecking crew For Wilmington. as she had seven aces and three digs.

Blanchester's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wilmington, they moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Blanchester will square off against Clermont Northeastern at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilmington, they will challenge Clinton-Massie at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
