Basketball Game Preview: Dayton Dust Devils vs. Fernley Vaqueros

Dayton hasn't had much luck against Fernley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Dayton Dust Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fernley Vaqueros at 7:30 p.m. Dayton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

If Dayton beats Fernley with 49 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Dayton came out on top in a nail-biter against Churchill County on Saturday, sneaking past 49-47.

Meanwhile, Fernley earned a 66-54 victory over Lowry on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vaqueros.

Fernley is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Dayton, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4.
