Basketball Recap: The Pingry School Drops Season-High Score on Morris Knolls

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask The Pingry School). They snuck past the Morris Knolls Golden Eagles with a 69-63 win on Saturday.

The Pingry School's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Rust, who went 6 of 13 en route to 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Polanco, who went 9 for 15 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds.

The Pingry School's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Morris Knolls, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

The Pingry School will venture away from home to take on Seton Hall Prep at 12:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Morris Knolls, they will host South Plainfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Plainfield will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Morris Knolls surely won't give up without a fight.
