Preview: Marlington Dukes vs. North Ridgeville Rangers
The Marlington Dukes are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the North Ridgeville Rangers at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th. Marlington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 307th, while North Ridgeville is ranked 81st).
Marlington's 24-3 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell just short of Canfield by a score of 31-28. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Marlington in their matchups with Canfield: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday North Ridgeville sidestepped Avon for a 48-46 victory.
Marlington's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for North Ridgeville, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
