Baseball Recap: Rowland Takes a Loss

Rowland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Covina Bulldogs. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rowland got a good showing from Gabriel Delgado, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. That's the fewest hits Delgado has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, Noah Sandez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Logan Dwyer, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Rowland's record is now 10-8. As for West Covina, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-15 record.

While Rowland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
