It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Fort Dorchester ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top against the Hanahan Hawks by a score of 11-8. The Patriots' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Janiyah Ray, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Copeland, who scored two runs.

Fort Dorchester's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Hanahan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Fort Dorchester will be playing at home against Wando at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Dorchester is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.1 runs per game this season.
