Basketball Game Preview: Pike County Bulldogs vs. Opp Bobcats

The Pike County Bulldogs will face off against the Opp Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Monday, Pike County didn't have quite enough to beat Straughn and fell 56-53.

Meanwhile, Opp can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They secured a 55-51 W over New Brockton. The score was all tied up 30-30 at the break, but the Bobcats were the better team in the second half.

Pike County better keep an eye on DJ Hines. He was instrumental in Opp's win, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 15 boards. With that strong performance, Hines is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Another player making a difference was Zane Martin, who posted nine points.

Pike County's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-11. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.6 points per game. As for Opp, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-13.
