Football Recap: Huntington Piles Up the Points Against East

Huntington never let their opponents score on Saturday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 44-0 win over the East Tartans. That's more bragging rights for the Huntsmen, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Huntington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaac Taylor, who rushed for 103 yards and three touchdowns. Another passer making a difference was Frankie Hirsch, who threw for 183 yards and three TDs on only 11 passes.

Huntington's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for East, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Huntington will welcome Unioto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huntsmen will need to watch out since the Shermans have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for East, they will face off against Manchester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Tartans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
