Greenhills came tearing into Saturday's matchup with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Shrine Catholic Knights a 4-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Gryphons also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The result came thanks to Nick Roney's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up 15 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jeremiah Bowman was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Greenhills' record now sits at 20-3. As for Shrine Catholic, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.

Greenhills will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair will be back at it again later today.
