Basketball Recap: Landmark Christian Takes a Loss

Landmark Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings, falling 66-14. The War Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-7.

Leading St. Anne-Pacelli to victory were Mckayla Hosley and Tamiyah Ransom. Hosley went 8 for 10 on her way to 17 points and five steals, while Ransom made all 7 shots she took to post 15 points and four steals. Hosley has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last eight times she's played. Ivyonna Thomas was another key player, putting up eight points and five boards.

Landmark Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Landmark Christian will welcome Whitefield Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they will be playing at home against Taylor County at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
