Basketball Game Preview: Seagraves Eagles vs. Ropes Eagles

Seagraves hasn't had much luck against Ropes recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Seagraves Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Ropes Eagles at 6:15 p.m. Seagraves has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Monday, Seagraves came up short against Wellman-Union and fell 44-37.

Meanwhile, Ropes entered their game against Whiteface on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Ropes took a 47-28 bruising from Whiteface. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ropes' defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-7. As for Seagraves, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Seagraves was taken down by Ropes 79-19 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Seagraves was down 45-11.
