League recap: Galena tops Riverton to extend winning streak

Galena extended the longest winning streak in Crawford-Neosho-Cherokee this week by beating Riverton, 32-8. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Bulldogs.

Erie fell to Caney Valley 59-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Sal Dicamillo was a key player and the best on defense this week as Galena defeated the Rams. The 5-foot-9 sophomore pulled down 1 interception.

Kyler Cook threw for 290 yards and 4 touchdowns. He went 15-24 with 1 interception.

Zach Bankson was the best receiver in the league this week as Beau Sarwinski's team topped Riverton. Bankson tallied 7 receptions for 124 yards. Aaron Cockerel helped Galena's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 90 yards.

6-foot-0 quarterback Cook of the Bulldogs is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,337. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is AJ Randle. The Columbus star has 30 catches for 696 yards.

St. Mary's-Colgan led the league in scoring this week by notching 54 points on Southeast.
