For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Desert Chapel and Joshua Springs Christian meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Eagles came out on top against the Lightning by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Lightning on September 11th, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as three sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 24-26, 29-27, 25-19.

Maylee Moody paced Desert Chapel's offense, picking up five kills. Moody got some help from Jayna Pease and her six assists. Sarah Luna controlled things from the service line, finishing with ten aces.

Desert Chapel has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-10 record this season. As for Joshua Springs Christian, with the defeat, they broke their seven-match winning streak and moved their record to 7-3.

Coincidentally, Desert Chapel and Joshua Springs Christian will both be playing Noli Indian the next time they take the court. The Eagles will host the Braves at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Lightning will host them at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
