Valiant Cross Academy put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Northeast Raiders by a score of 61-49. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 25th in Alabama, while the Raiders are ranked 481st in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valiant Cross Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than John Cosby, who went 7 of 11 en route to 19 points along with six steals and five boards. Valiant Cross Academy's record now sits at 15-0. As for Northeast, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Valiant Cross Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-50 defeat against Riverdale on the 30th. As for Northeast, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-45 loss against Northgate on the 30th.
