Softball Recap: Garrett Memorial Christian Beats Mineral Springs for Their Fourth Straight Win

Garrett Memorial Christian waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Mineral Springs Hornets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Saints also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Silbi Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Blayklee Glass, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

The victory got Garrett Memorial Christian back to even at 4-4-1. As for Mineral Springs, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garrett Memorial Christian will challenge Nevada at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mineral Springs, they will face off against Blevins at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
