Markesan and Fall River are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pirates at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Markesan is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Pardeeville just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. Hornets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Bulldogs since Tuesday.

67 must be Fall River's lucky number: they beat Princeton/Green Lake with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Pirates beat the Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 67-37. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 30 points or more this season.

Fall River now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Markesan, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2.

Markesan came up short against Fall River in their previous matchup back in January, falling 39-29. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
