Baseball Recap: Parkview Takes a Loss

Parkview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-2 to the Central Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 on Tuesday.

Aidan Tessaro made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. Holden Oliver also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Parkview's loss dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-9.

Parkview and Central could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Vikings will take on Webb City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (401 vs. 106). Meanwhile, Central (ranked 245th) will meet Ozark (ranked 26th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
