Recap: Sumter Christian Bears vs. Orangeburg Christian Academy Patriots
The Sumter Christian Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season. They breezed by Orangeburg Christian Academy on the road to the tune of 67-32. Sumter Christian's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Aj Danzy continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 29 points. The game was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Atkinson, who scored 12 points.
Sumter Christian's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Orangeburg Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Sumter Christian and Emmanuel Christian will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 5:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Orangeburg Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northside Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on January 16, 2024.
