Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ignacio Miguez and Tanner Tumblin Lead Riverside to Victory + How To Watch

Riverside was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They skirted past the Wade Hampton Generals 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Riverside got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 24-26, 25-20, 18-25, 15-9.

Riverside was led to victory by Tanner Tumblin and Ignacio Miguez. Tumblin had 28 kills, three blocks, and three aces, while Miguez had 32 assists. Those 28 kills gave Tumblin a new career-high.

The victory got Riverside back to even at 5-5. As for Wade Hampton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coincidentally, Riverside and Wade Hampton will both be playing Mauldin the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Generals will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
