Basketball Recap: Dunbar Crimson Tide vs. Bell Griffins
The Dunbar Crimson Tide won against the Bell Griffins last Wednesday with 76 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Dunbar blew past the Griffins 76-29 at home. That 47 point margin sets a new team best for Dunbar this season.
Jordan Russell was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Phillip Crowell, who scored ten points.
Dunbar has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Bell, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dunbar will take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bard is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Bell, they will be playing at home against the EAGLES at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Capital City Public Charter School has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 365 points over their last six matchups.
