Softball Recap: Pike Takes a Loss

Pike was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 20-9 to Horizon Christian.

Anabelle Posada made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Lili Richardson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Pike's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Horizon Christian, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Pike will take on Muncie Central at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bearcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.09 runs per game on average), something the Red Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Horizon Christian, they will challenge Clinton Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
