Softball Recap: Steelville Comes Up Short

Steelville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-2 to the Dixon Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the first time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 17-2 defeat on Thursday.

Steelville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bre Kelley, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That run marked the first that Kelley has scored this season.

Steelville's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Dixon, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Steelville by a score of 17-2 later that day.
