Baseball Recap: Ralston Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Ralston finally came back down to earth on Monday. They fell just short of the Malcolm Clippers by a score of 4-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Clippers: they've now lost five in a row.

Ralston got a good showing from Daniel Blaufuss, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

Ralston's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Malcolm, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Ralston has already played their next game (against Platteview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Malcolm, they will challenge Nebraska City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
