4A Region 5 recap Nov. 7, 2012
Mountain Crest extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region 5 this week by beating Bountiful, 41-0. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Mustangs.
Mountain Crest took down the Braves 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
6-foot-5 quarterback Luke Falk of Logan is the league leader in passing yards this season with 3618. He has also thrown 36 touchdowns. On the ground, Box Elder's Kyler Allen has rushed for 820 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Daniel Lemon. The Sky View star has 57 catches for 1111 yards.
Mark Wootton's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 134 from 213. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 41-0 victory over Bountiful last week.
