Baseball Recap: Compton Early College Comes Up Short

Compton Early College was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 20-3 to the Environmental Charter White Tigers. The Rising Phoenix were not able to make up for their loss to the White Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Compton Early College's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Environmental Charter, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Compton Early College will host Animo City of Champions at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Animo City of Champions has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 22.4 runs per game on average), something Compton Early College will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Environmental Charter, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Animo Leadership at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
