It was a good run, but Plainfield North unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glenbard West Hilltoppers. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Plainfield North couldn't quite close it out.

Plainfield North's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Glenbard West, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plainfield North will venture away from home to face off against Plainfield South at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glenbard West, they will head out to take on Oswego at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Oswego's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Glenbard West's offense will have their work cut out for them.
