Baseball Recap: Powell Comes Up Short

Powell has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.45 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They fell 15-11 to the Lakeway Christian Academy Lions. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 13-9 to the Lions when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Powell's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-8.

Looking ahead, Powell will square off against Tennessee at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, they will head out to face off against Christian Academy of Knoxville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
