Volleyball Recap: Millard West Triumphs

It was a proper cat-fight when Millard West challenged Scottsbluff on Saturday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Bearcats by a score of 2-0.

Brinley Walter paced Millard West's offense, picking up ten kills. Walter got some help from Whitney Pfannenstiel and her 14 assists.

Scottsbluff lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Mia Bowles, who had seven digs, two blocks, and two aces. Another player making a difference was Lillian Hays, who had 11 assists and three digs.

The victory got Millard West back to even at 6-6. As for Scottsbluff, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Millard West has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Gretna East on the 13th. As for Scottsbluff, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against North Platte on the 13th.
