Field hadn't done well against Streetsboro recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Falcons made off with a 51-50 victory over the Rockets. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 51-33 win the Rockets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

Streetsboro lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Braden Hodge, who posted 13 points and five steals. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Roscoe, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards.

Field's record is now 2-5. As for Streetsboro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Field will take on Marlington in a holiday battle at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will be up against the Dukes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Streetsboro and Kenston will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rockets will need to watch out since the Bombers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
