Basketball Recap: Westside Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Westside entered their tilt with Emerald on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They really took it to the Emerald Vikings for the full four quarters, racking up a 94-5 win. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 34 points or more this season.

Westside got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tiana Marshall out in front who went 7 of 9 on her way to 17 points and five steals. Marshall is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Khalia Hartwell, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 boards.

Westside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.9 points per game. As for Emerald, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
