Baseball Recap: Hoisington Takes a Loss

Hoisington fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Haven on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-5. The Cardinals' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Rhen Galla made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three runs and one double. That double was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brodie Crites, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Hoisington's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Haven, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Hoisington by a score of 8-0 later that day.
