Basketball Recap: Cheney Comes Up Short

Cheney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 61-42 fall against the Lewis & Clark Tigers. The Blackhawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 58-42.

Cheney's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Lewis & Clark, their victory bumped their record up to 4-13.

Cheney and Lewis & Clark could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Cheney (ranked 212th) will meet Gonzaga Prep (ranked fifth) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Lewis & Clark will take on Central Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 179 places (257 vs. 78).
