Football Recap: Skyline Grizzlies vs. Hillcrest Knights
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Skyline can now relate to. They came up short against the Hillcrest Knights on Friday, falling 31-8. The Grizzlies were red-hot offensively headed into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the five matchups prior) but the Knights' defense proved too tough.
Despite the loss, Skyline still got an impressive performance from Zyan Crockett, who picked up 155 receiving yards, and also rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown.
It was another big night for Tyson Sweetwood, who rushed for 56 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 83 yards and a touchdown for Hillcrest. Maddox Sandoval also helped with two touchdowns in total.
The loss snapped Skyline's winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 10-3 record. As for Hillcrest, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
