Kings faced Mason in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Knights took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comets. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Kings started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Kings still got an impressive performance from Kennady Horsley, who had 21 digs and one assist. Horsley has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Emma Caddell went supernova For Mason., getting 16 assists and 11 digs. That's the most digs Caddell has posted over her last six matches.

Kings' defeat dropped their record down to 18-3. As for Mason, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-4.

Kings has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Lafayette on the 18th. Mason does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
