Softball Game Preview: North Marion Huskies vs. Lewis County Minutemen

The North Marion Huskies will head out to face off against the Lewis County Minutemen at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. North Marion has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

North Marion managed to slip by Buckhannon-Upshur the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. North Marion lost 14-4 to Buckhannon-Upshur on Thursday. The Huskies' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

North Marion saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rayden Satterfield, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another was Reagan Ash, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Lewis County came up short against Pendleton County on Saturday, falling 14-3. The loss was the Minutemen's first of the season.

North Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lewis County, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

North Marion might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Lewis County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can North Marion avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
