Basketball Recap: Luke Barnett and Richie Ramirez Secure Win for Mater Dei

Leading Mater Dei to victory were Richie Ramirez and Luke Barnett. Ramirez posted 31 points and eight rebounds, while Barnett had 29 points and seven boards. With that strong performance, Barnett is now averaging an impressive 17.5 points per game. Another player making a difference was Malloy Smith, who put up five points.

Mater Dei smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Mater Dei's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for O'Fallon, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Mater Dei has already played their next contest, a 73-35 victory against Washington on the 29th. As for O'Fallon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-56 loss against South Pointe Christian on the 29th.
