Basketball Game Preview: Centennial Eagles vs. Treasure Coast Titans

Centennial is 8-2 against Treasure Coast since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Centennial Eagles will square off against the Treasure Coast Titans. Centennial has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Centennial took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They slipped by Palm Beach Gardens 62-61.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Centennial to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jailyn Williams, who posted 23 points. With that strong performance, Williams is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game. Another player making a difference was Waniya Fortner, who put up 17 points.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Treasure Coast walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 49-15 win over the Indians. Winning may never get old, but the Titans sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Centennial has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.9 points per game. As for Treasure Coast, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.

Everything came up roses for Centennial against Treasure Coast in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 58-26 win. In that matchup, Centennial amassed a halftime lead of 31-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
