Basketball Recap: Monmouth United Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Monmouth United couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a hard 39-25 fall against the Wethersfield Flying Geese on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Red Storm in their matchups with the Flying Geese: they've now lost five in a row.

Monmouth United's defeat dropped their record down to 28-5. As for Wethersfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Monmouth United nor Wethersfield have any future games scheduled.
