Recap: Terrell County Greenwave vs. Westover Patriots
The Terrell County Greenwave have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell just short of Westover by a score of 49-46. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Terrell County in their matchups with Westover: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Terrell County still got an impressive performance from Jentaiya Rushing, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tadreuna Rogers, who scored six points.
Leading Westover to victory were Sydney Donaldson and Jada Landers. Donaldson scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and five steals, while Landers dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Landers' tenth in a row with at least ten points.
Terrell County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Westover, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Terrell County will take on Lee County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Westover, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bainbridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
