Basketball Recap: Audrey Brabec's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Howells-Dodge over North Bend Central

Howells-Dodge fought the good fight in their overtime game against North Bend Central on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the North Bend Central Tigers by a score of 56-53. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-38 last Monday.

Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Audrey Brabec, who posted six points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Brabec a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Kenadie Throener, who had ten points and five rebounds.

Howells-Dodge's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for North Bend Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 17-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Howells-Dodge nor North Bend Central have any future games scheduled.
