Volleyball Game Preview: Breathitt County Bobcats vs. Powell County Pirates

The Breathitt County Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Powell County Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Breathitt County will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

While Breathitt County's victory against Betsy Layne wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Breathitt County had just enough and edged out Betsy Layne 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Breathitt County has posted since September 24th.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Powell County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Estill County on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Engineers: they've now won six in a row.

Powell County's win bumped their record up to 17-14. As for Breathitt County, their victory bumped their record up to 19-9.

Breathitt County beat Powell County 3-1 in their previous matchup last Wednesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
