Baseball Game Preview: El Camino Eagles vs. Dixon Rams

For the second straight game, El Camino will face off against Dixon. The Eagles will take on the Rams at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. El Camino has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

El Camino is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They came up short against Dixon, falling 18-8. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly ten runs.

For Dixon's part, Aiden Schouten looked comfortable as he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Schouten has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kai Mulitsch-Reynolds was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Vicente Guzman, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base.

Dixon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.2.

El Camino's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Dixon, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-15-1.
