Basketball Recap: Boerne-Champion Takes a Loss

Boerne-Champion lost against Wagner back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Boerne-Champion Chargers were outmatched by the Wagner Thunderbirds and fell 75-22. The game marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

La Sneed was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 steals for Wagner. Sneed's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nahilah Bell, who went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Boerne-Champion dropped their record down to 16-16 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Wagner, the victory was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 28-3.

Boerne-Champion will be playing at home against Tivy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wagner, they will head out to challenge Alamo Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wagner is facing Alamo Heights at the right time seeing as Alamo Heights is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
