Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Angelina Rodriguez and Sasha Lawson Lead Santa Fe Catholic to Victory

After losing to St. John Lutheran the last time they met, Santa Fe Catholic decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Santa Fe Catholic Hawks were the clear victor by a 43-21 margin over the St. John Lutheran Saints on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Leading Santa Fe Catholic to victory were Sasha Lawson and Angelina Rodriguez. Lawson dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Rodriguez dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave Lawson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Sofia Hernandez, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine steals.

Santa Fe Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 31 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

The win got Santa Fe Catholic back to even at 10-10. As for St. John Lutheran, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
