Virginia High has gone 8-2 against Lebanon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Virginia High Bearcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lebanon Pioneers at 8:30 p.m. Virginia High knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Lebanon likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Virginia High didn't have too much trouble with Richlands as they won 74-56. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Blue Tornado are ranked 344th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Lebanon's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a blow against Graham, falling 75-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pioneers have suffered since January 24, 2024.

Virginia High is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.5 points per game. As for Lebanon, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-6.

Virginia High was able to grind out a solid victory over Lebanon in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 71-58. Will Virginia High repeat their success, or does Lebanon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
