Clear Fork had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Ashland Arrows with a sharp  13-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Colts, who have now won six contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Miley Shafer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and one unearned) runs on ten hits.
 On the hitting side, Clear Fork got a  massive  performance out of  Hailly Thrush, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and one  stolen base. Thrush has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  home run the last three times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Melodie Blubaugh, who  went 3-for-5 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Clear Fork  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They are 7-1 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Clear Fork's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Ashland,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-9.
 Clear Fork didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  match,  a  9-4  defeat against Shelby on the 28th. As for Ashland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  game,  a  12-2  loss against Lexington on the 29th.
