Baseball Recap: Lewisburg Takes a Loss

Lewisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Loyalsock Township Lancers. If the Green Dragons were looking for revenge after losing 17-1 to the Lancers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Landen Wagner led a balanced group of hitters, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 4-for-4. Garret Glathar also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Lewisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-1. As for Loyalsock Township, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewisburg will challenge Milton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Loyalsock Township, they will face off against Hughesville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
