Eastbrook has won three straight games at home, while Mississinewa has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Panthers will host the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Eastbrook barely beat Blackford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Bruins with a sharp 12-1 victory on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Delanie Elliott and Olivia Legg did most of the damage at the plate: Elliott went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Legg went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI Elliott has posted over her last 11 matchups. Another player making a difference was Gracie Elliott, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
Eastbrook hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Mississinewa made easy work of Elwood on Tuesday and carried off a 14-1 victory.
Lilah Greer was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Amiyaa Parr-Inman, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Jarrah Tegarden was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Mississinewa has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Eastbrook, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
Both Eastbrook and Mississinewa just can't seem to miss. The Panthers have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Mississinewa struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
